To end all wars A man lays down his life for another
Full Monty Jesus called ordinary folk to work with and follow him
Dead Poet’s Society Jesus showed a new way and encourages us to look at things differently.

(This session was recorded and included brief comments by Duncan between the clips, but would not be very meaningful without the video unless you're familiar with most of the films. Speak to Philip if you are interested.)

In the final wrap-up session, Duncan gave some useful suggestions of action points for the church and for us as individuals, as follows:
Action Points for Individuals: Action Points for the Church:
  1. Hospitality – offering heart and home to those inside and outside the fellowship.
  2. Soul friendship – finding someone to be accountable with; someone who will ask ‘What are you and God working on right now?’; someone to pray with.
  3. Affirming one another in their work for the Lord Monday to Friday – learning to break down the sacred/secular divide. (Map of workplaces in the church?)
  1. Developing an authentic and ‘real’ community.
  2. Exploring the use of listening groups to assist with the above (see below).
  3. Investigating the possibility of developing spiritual formation groups using the ‘Renovare’ material.
Duncan's Guidelines for a Listening Group (Word document.)
